About
Music Ledger is a phone-first catalog for a physical music collection: vinyl LPs, 12" and 7" singles, CDs, and cassettes. It is the music shelf that sits next to a home library app. You scan what you own. Later, standing in a shop, you scan again.
Release metadata is looked up from MusicBrainz and cover images from the Cover Art Archive. The iTunes Search API is only a fallback. MusicBrainz's core data is public domain. Cover images stay with their owners; Music Ledger displays them and does not claim them.
Genre tags from MusicBrainz are messy, so they are folded into a short list. You can override the genre on any release. Recommendations are local: other records you already own that share a genre, artist, or decade.
Sponsored Amazon rows are off unless you turn them on with a server passcode, and they still hide if no Associates tag is configured.
